# Deployment & integration docs

**Agent required for human users.** The DVE Agent must be installed on every machine where people interactively access credentials. Cryptographic keys never leave the endpoint. **Connectors** are the separate path for machine identities (CI/CD, Kubernetes, scripts) — no agent on runners.
